What is a horsemanship class?

A horsemanship class is an activity where students come together as a group to learn more about horses. Kids need friends at the barn, but in many cases, students experience more anxiety learning to ride in a group. For that reason, we offer group-based horsemanship activities where kids can practice lower barrier of entry skills like grooming, saddling, trailer-loading, obstacle courses, cleaning tack, feeding, etc. With horsemanship classes being two times per month, kids get a little extra horse time but parents have only a minor increase to the amount of driving they are doing in a month.

What Makes Pony Pros Special?

"When I started Pony Pros, I wanted kids to learn about horses—and about themselves. Today, our lessons are more than riding. Kids build confidence, make friends, and discover kindness, patience, and teamwork.
